Marcus Straub is Founder & CEO of LIG (Life Is Great!) Coaching and Consulting, Inc. is based in Grand Junction, Colorado. Serving individuals of all ages and companies of all sizes, in locations across the country and around the world, Marcus specializes in the development of customized programs tailored to meet the unique goals of each individual client. The cornerstone of his philosophy is a passion to elevate human potential and performance using a variety of proven and proprietary coaching methods developed over twenty-five years of real-life and career-oriented experiences. With an innate ability to connect with his clients and put them at ease, Marcus provides a solid foundation of accountability and responsibility. An innovative coach, consultant, leadership and business development expert, corporate trainer, author, and keynote speaker, Marcus believes in the power of motivation to be inspired in the face of any given reality: “Once people realize that they are far more creative, adaptive, capable, and powerful than they ever thought themselves to be, they begin to take charge of their life, crafting it into what they truly want.” His work – steeped in understanding and meticulously evaluating the unique behaviors, motivators, acumen, competencies, emotional intelligence, and stress factors of his clients, along with promoting higher levels of consciousness, awareness, and communication – is unprecedented and has touched countless lives.
In his book, “Is It Fun Being You? The Journey to Lasting Happiness,” Marcus introduces readers to the simple and unfailing coaching tool he developed to help clients reach new levels of happiness and ongoing success. Utilizing TDSF™, readers are empowered to evaluate their immediate thoughts, actions, words, and feelings to control their reality and create the life they desire.
Marcus is a Certified Professional Analyst of DISC, Driving Forces, Trimetrix HD, EQ, and Stress Assessments, a Value-Added Associate for Targeted Training International (TTI), Inc, and a Certified Facilitator for Indigo Education Company. In 2011 he was recognized as “International Coach of the Year” by The Coaching Institute (a.k.a., Comprehensive Coaching University) and remains the only coach to be nominated for three consecutive years. He is a regular contributing newspaper columnist for The Business Times Newspaper, co-host of the radio show “Is It Fun Being You?” on KAFM public radio and a featured keynote speaker and workshop presenter for a variety of local and regional organizations. An extension of his direct work with clients is a highly selective coach training program designed to help fellow coaches optimize their business practices and improve their professional skills.
A former financial investor, Yoga instructor, and whitewater raft guide, Marcus currently resides in western Colorado with his wife, Kellie. Together they have three grown children. When not working, Marcus enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, ATVing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, rafting, watching the sunset, spending time by the water, and savoring the solitude of time alone.
